About Viola (Jingzhou) Liu

I am a Mathematics Ph.D. at University of Texas at Dallas, under the supervision of Wieslaw Krawcewicz and Carlos García Azpeitia.

My research area is Equivariant Degree Theory -- a branch of nonlinear analysis where PDEs, dynamical systems, and algebraic topology come to play. You’re invited to check out my research page for more details.

Moreover, I also earned a Master’s in Statistics from Southern Methodist University, where I built a solid foundation in machine (deep) learning — and spent about four years working in this world.

Now, thanks to these journeys, I find myself can speak several  languages: equivariance, dynamical systems and theory of deep learning. Currently interested in AI theory, especially the problem of interpretability, I am on the lookout for opportunities where these voices can meet and resonate.
